The heat will be concentrated at the projections, which gives the possibility to weld more welds at a closer spacing or heavier section. Sometimes projection welding will be used to avoid damage to one of the work piece surfaces because flat electrodes are used in this process. Electrode Holders
The electrodes are placed in the electrode holders and current bridges. These copper parts wear less than quickly than the electrode due to their connection on the water circuit, and can be produced in softer copper alloy, like ECU or CuCrZr.
Water & air-cooled cables
Our water-cooled cables and air-cooled cables are made from the highest quality flexible copper wire, with swage terminals which minimizes resistance. The external flexible rubber hose protects the copper wire from abrasion and extends its lifetime.

Laminated shunts or current bridges
Laminated shunts are flexible connectors used in Schlatter machine to bring over welding current to moving parts like the electrode holders. Over time, the leaves slowly break and need to be replaced. Brouwer Metaal has many designs in their database, and we are happy to help if you need a custom made shunt.
